Since a few years burbot (Lota lota) has been introduced as a new aquaculture species in Belgium. However there is still some concerns regarding stable fingerling production. Latter can be improved by increasing control over the reproduction and altough reproduction with wild fish has been done, there is still some work concerning reproduction with burbot in captivity. This trial looked into the possibilities to improve reproduction strategy by temperature modulation and the use of spawning agents.
